Summary

Passenger Assistants

Plymouth | £12.65 per hour | Part-time (mornings & afternoons, term time only) | Temporary | Immediate start

Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Passenger Assistants to support children and young people on their journey to and from school or college. This is a rewarding role where you can make a meaningful difference every day.

Key Duties

  • Support passengers during transport to ensure a safe and comfortable journey.

  • Assist children and young people with additional needs.

  • Ensure health, safety, and wellbeing of passengers at all times.

  • Provide a friendly, reassuring presence throughout the journey.

Requirements

  • Experience working with or being around children is essential.

  • Experience with special educational needs or disabilities is desirable.

  • Strong communication skills and a calm, patient approach.

  • Positive, reliable attitude and willingness to cover shifts at short notice.

  • Enhanced DBS check (including Children's & Adults Barred Lists).
