Summary

Tutor of Painting and DecoratingRef: 2526/137Hours: 23.13 per week (15 teaching hours)Salary: Up to £43,408 pro rata per annum* (subject to experience and qualifications). You may also be eligible to claim a targeted retention incentive payment of up to £5,000**Plus generous benefits, including: • 57 days annual leave per year pro rata (including bank holidays and efficiency closures)• Teachers' Pension Scheme • Financial support towards teacher training course fees if you do not have a recognised L5 teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE) - worth up to £7,000 over two years*Progression beyond point 12 of the salary scale (£40,407) is subject to Tutors obtaining QTLS. Staff with Advanced Teacher Status (ATS) via the Society for Education and Training (SET) are eligible to receive an enhanced salary of £44,875- ask us for further details** Eligible FE teachers can claim a targeted retention incentive payment. We are looking for someone with genuine enthusiasm for their trade who is ready to inspire and guide the next generation of Painting & Decorating professionals.In this rewarding role, you will work with both full time students and industry based apprentices, supporting them as they develop the practical, theoretical, and employability skills needed for success in the sector. You will contribute to delivering high quality teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring learners are fully prepared for progression into employment or further training.This position is ideal for:• a qualified painting and decorating professional looking to take their first step from industry into teaching OR• an experienced tutor seeking a fresh challenge and professional development in a supportive environmentYou will play a key part in shaping the learning journey of our students, bringing your experience, knowledge, and passion for industry standards into the classroom and workshops.About the personWe are looking for an individual who is committed, approachable, and genuinely invested in helping others succeed. Previous teaching experience is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
