Summary
The duties are varied but include supporting patients and relatives through their treatment pathways. Teaching, health promotion, service development, research and audit are integral to the role. There will be opportunity to acquire numerous skills and develop the ability to run autonomous clinics. Assessing physical & mental health, checking adherence to medication, discussing social issues, discussing general health related problems, supporting new diagnoses, Once non medical prescribing qualification completed: starting people on treatment, switching treatments when required, medication reviews and prescription renewals. Act in such a way that safeguards the health and wellbeing of children and vulnerable adults at all times. Is familiar with and adheres to, the LTHT safeguarding policies. Keep up to date with developments, advances and research in individualised patient care.
