Location: Clitheroe

Working Hours: Monday – Thursday: 8:30am – 5pm, Friday: 8:30am – 4pm

Salary: £29,000 per annum




Job Purpose

Support in the delivery of NPD/EPD/CI Quality agenda across site/s in the transferring of products from concept approval handover
to launch, aligned with the Compleat product launch process and critical path.




Key Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

* Scope of Responsibility: Executes product trials and supports launches, focusing on implementation into the factory.
Understanding of category area (pastry/fry/deli), processes and kit within the factory supporting troubleshooting possible.
* Project Leadership: Supports multiple projects and may deputise for Senior Technologist.
* NPD/EPD Delivery: Responsible for organising and executing trials, prepros and launches in line with critical path including
liaison with key stakeholders at site and central teams.
* Factory Trials & Launch: Preparation of trial including the support in scheduling and ordering, delivery & assessment of
materials to agree quality parameters. Organises & runs trials, gathering data and accountable for post-trial documentation
and product panels. Organises sample request demands from internal & external sources.
* Documentation & Compliance: Completes required paperwork, nutritional data, micro data, factory specifications, organoleptic
and supports QAS & artwork. Basic understanding of micro testing and results, supporting in the collation of data for sign off
in line with site technical accountabilities
* Continuous Improvement of Quality: Supports execution of quality agenda.
* Budget: Raises relevant purchase orders required and logs on tracker.
* Customer Interaction: Supports with customer samples, trial feedback and benchmarking panels.
* Team Communication: Communicates across departments, attends meetings, supports other sites and central functions.
* People Management: Works in team environment, may manage entry level process technologists with support of Senior Technologist
* Strategic Involvement: Limited to project and product execution.
* Problem Solving: Identifies and communicates issues during development

Experience:

* Technical Knowledge: Foundation in food manufacturing, HACCP basics, food safety understanding and keen to grow.
* Required Experience: Early-career or entry-level experience in food manufacturing/FMCG.
* Qualifications: HND/Degree in food-based subject (desirable).
* Soft Skills: Enthusiasm, team player, motivated, adaptable, proactive.
* Flexibility: Expected to support across sites and shifts, including nights & weekends when required
