Summary
The Programme
EPUT and MSEFT are embarking on the implementation of a UK first of type Unified Electronic Patient Record (UEPR) system that spans Acute, Mental Health and Community services. The new system will be delivered through the Nova Programme, alongside our commercial partners for this significant transformative journey.
At the heart of our ambitious programme is a commitment to people – our patients, our staff and our community. We believe that the key to successful innovation lies in fostering a supportive, inclusive culture that values every individual’s contribution.
The role of Nova Operational Lead is critical to support and drive the engagement of trust operational, clinical, administrative and Executive teams to support this transformation and to enable successful delivery of the programme
The Nova Programme is a large‑scale digital transformation across Mid and South Essex NHS Foundation Trust (MSEFT) and Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust (EPUT), delivering a Unified Electronic Patient Record (EPR) to support safer, more joined‑up care for patients and improved ways of working for staff.
This role will provide essential workforce, identity and access support to enable the successful implementation and ongoing operation of the Nova Programme across both organisations. The post holder will support staff throughout the employee
lifecycle, ensuring that access to Nova and associated systems is timely, secure and compliant with national and local standards.
Working as part of the Nova Programme and in close collaboration with Human Resources, Recruitment, Payroll, Information Technology and Information Governance teams, the post holder will deliver a responsive, customer‑focused service that supports new starters, leavers and staff changing roles, while maintaining high standards of data quality, information security and patient safety.
The role will be based primarily at Britannia Park, Southend, with regular travel across MSEFT and EPUT sites as required to support programme activity, onboarding events and go‑live periods.
Our ambition is to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and well being of our patients, and provide a vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
We aim to make the most of our skills and experiences so we can become the best we can be. As one organisation we will recruit the finest and retain more specialist staff due to more employment opportunities across our Trust.
