Summary
The Best Connection is currently seeking an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our client's busy waste management team based in Prudhoe. This is a fantastic opportunity for a reliable driver looking for consistent, long-term work within a well-established local operation.
While this position is initially temporary, there is no specific end date, and it has the potential to become a regular, long-term role for the right candidate.
The Role
You will be responsible for operating a Class 2 Skip Wagon (Chain Lift), delivering, collecting, and exchanging skips across the local area. This is a fast-paced role based out of a busy waste transfer station, requiring efficiency and a high standard of driving.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving: Safe operation of HGV vehicles and manual handling of skip mechanics.
- Compliance: Conducting thorough daily vehicle checks and maintaining accurate tachograph logs.
- Customer Service: Acting as the face of the company during site drop-offs and collections.
Requirements
Due to insurance purposes, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Licence: Category C (Class 2) held for a minimum of 2 years.
- Age: Must be 30 years or older (Insurance requirement).
- Experience: At least 2 years of experience driving goods vehicles.
- Credentials: Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
Schedule & Pay
- Rate: £15.00 per hour.
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 18:00.
