Summary
To continue to develop highly specialist clinical skills, knowledge, and experience through hands-on practice, in-service training sessions, and targeted Personal Development activities identified in the Personal Development Plan. To maintain personal professional status and accountability by ensuring compliance with all requirements set by relevant professional bodies for registration and licensure, and by adhering to departmental and Trust policies. To plan and deliver departmental training and educational sessions for staff, promoting professional and personal development across the team, with support from senior colleagues where required. To ensure effective communication with patients, carers, and all members of the MDT regarding patient conditions, including accurate documentation in line with Trust policies and professional codes of practice. To mentor, guide, and assess the development of junior therapists, non-qualified therapy staff, and students, ensuring that the team maintains high standards of patient care and clinical practice. To actively contribute to service improvement initiatives including planned research, audits, and clinical governance, using findings to enhance patient care and service delivery within the hand therapy specialty.
