SEN Teaching Assistant

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Paragon Education is recruiting a caring and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils within a welcoming and inclusive school in Bromsgrove. The school is committed to ensuring that every child receives the support they need to succeed, both academically and personally.
In this role, you will work closely with class teachers and SENCOs to provide targeted support for pupils with additional needs. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a real difference in a child’s educational journey.
What the role involves:
Providing one-to-one and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assisting the class teacher in delivering adapted learning activities
Supporting pupils with communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation
Helping to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and EHCP targets
Encouraging independence and confidence in learning
Monitoring and recording pupil progress and behaviour
What you’ll need:
Experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting
A patient, empathetic, and supportive approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to different learning needs and situations
A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
A commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
