What we’re looking for
This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing organisation.
We’re looking for a Recovery Practitioner for our Adult Drug and Alcohol Service for Redbridge, based in Ilford.
As a recovery practitioner you will provide effective recovery‑focused care and support to service users. Working closely with multidisciplinary colleagues, you will ensure the delivery of safe, person‑centred, evidence‑based and compassionate support for individuals affected by substance use. You will play a key role in promoting best practice, strengthening recovery pathways, and supporting service users to achieve meaningful, sustainable change.
We are looking for applicants who want to use evidence-based psychosocial interventions applied to clear treatment pathways, to support people to improve their emotional and physical wellbeing. Knowledge and experience of substance use is important, but we welcome applications from candidates who can demonstrate confidence in delivering structured support, care planning, risk management, and motivational approaches, with a commitment to empowering individuals throughout their recovery journey.
This is not just a job – you’ll help people rebuild their lives, reconnect with their family and friends, return to work or education, and much more.
We’re looking for individuals with compassion, good communication skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
If you’re someone who is a good listener, stays curious, and wants to make a difference, we’d love to hear from you.
