Summary

Empower young people in alternative education.

An expanding network of inclusive, trauma-informed alternative provisions in central Bristol is seeking Education Support Worker to join their growing teams. These settings work with students aged 4-16 who have experienced disruption to their education and may be at risk of exclusion due to complex behavioural and emotional needs.

With a strong focus on positive relationships, personalised learning, and restorative practice, these provisions offer a fresh start for young people in small, supportive settings. If you're passionate about helping young people re-engage with learning, this is your chance to make a real impact.

The Role:
- Daily rate: £110 - £126,
- Hours: Monday to Thursday 8.30am - 4.30pm, Fridays 3.30pm finish
- 1 Year contract and potentially permanent positions are available after a settling-in period
- Join an experienced, trauma-informed team
- Work 1:1 or in small staff-to-student ratios ( 2:1 or 3:1)
- Support students with SEMH, Autism (ASC), and sensory processing differences
- Promote positive behaviour and resilience through relational, student-led approaches

Essential Requirements:
- Experience supporting challenging behaviour in education, youth work, care, or similar fields
- Currently living in or near Bristol, with Right to Work in the UK
- Access to your own vehicle and business insurance
- An Enhanced DBS for the Child Workforce on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
- Strong sense of empathy, emotional resilience, and a flexible approach to working across year groups

Desirable (but not essential):
- Team Teach (Level 2) or similar positive behaviour support training
- Experience in SEMH or alternative provision settings
- Knowledge of trauma-informed practice, attachment theory, or restorative approaches
