Summary
Year 4 Teacher – Full-time, long-term temporary and ongoing role starting April 2026
This school provides a calm, nurturing and well‑structured learning environment where pupils benefit from supportive staff, clear routines and engaging teaching. Duties as Year 4 Teacher:
- Teach a Year 4 class full time and deliver high‑quality lessons
- Follow provided planning frameworks where applicable and adapt delivery as needed
- Support pupils’ progress in literacy, numeracy and wider curriculum subjects
- Maintain consistent behaviour routines and promote positive learning habits
- Adapt teaching for mixed abilities and SEND learners
- Assess and monitor pupil progress, offering constructive feedback
- Collaborate with colleagues on planning, assessment and phase‑wide practice
- Uphold safeguarding expectations and prioritise pupil welfare
Ideal Year 4 Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with strong KS2 experience
- Confident planning, delivering and assessing independently
- Effective behaviour and classroom management skills
- Strong communication, organisation and teamwork abilities
- Able to motivate and support pupils of differing abilities
- Reflective, proactive and committed to high‑quality teaching
- Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting pupil well‑being
