Job Description: Social care work opportunity for a Personal Assistant. Listed below are details of the job and what tasks are involved. It is advisable to refer to these when submitting your application and advise of the days/hours you are available.I am looking for a friendly, reliable and patient Personal Assistant to support me in maintaining my independence at home and in the community. I have reduced mobility due to severe arthritis and following an illness I experience short‑term memory difficulties and fatigue. I am keen to build confidence, stay active and regain independence with the right support.Location: Gorleston, NR31Details: You will support me with day‑to‑day activities including:
- Accompanying me on shopping trips
- Attending local community groups and occasional support to attend church on a Sunday morning
- Encouraging and motivating me to engage in activities and build confidence
- Planning enjoyable and meaningful activities
- Supporting me to safely use my mobility scooter and practise using it
- Light household tasks such as vacuuming, dusting and general organising. You will help me break tasks into manageable steps
- Helping me maintain personal hygiene through routine‑building and gentle reminders
- Helping me stay connected with friends and family, including writing messages or scheduling calls
- Building a trusting, supportive relationship through consistent, empathetic assistance
- Experience of working with adults with physical and mental health conditions
- Motivating and able to gently encourage me out of my comfort zone
- Confident in helping to build independence and self-esteem
- Reliable, friendly, organised and patient
- Full clean driving licence and use of a car which is insured for business purposes
