Summary

Lancaster University is initiating an ambitious programme to implement a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform. This multi-year strategic initiative is reshaping the design, delivery, and management of undergraduate and postgraduate education to ensure a distinctive, inclusive, and future-ready offering. The successful candidate will support the development and delivery of a complex, high-impact digital and systems change in a fast-paced and evolving environment. 

Information System Services (ISS) is looking for a Solutions Architect to take on a crucial role in this significant programme. You will be a member of the Architecture team within ISS and will be involved in the development of architectures and standards for our enterprise solutions. The role will involve working with a range of academic and professional individuals including the Head of Architecture and the Infrastructure Architect. This is a fixed term role until 31st July 2027.

What you will need

In-depth knowledge of Architecture frameworks, principles, and best practices, with the ability to produce clear and concise architectural documentation.

Proven experience in a solutions architecture role in a complex organisation designing and implementing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems such as Salesforce

Experience of identifying technical and business challenges, and of proposing innovative solutions to address them.

The role is primarily based on the Lancaster University Bailrigg campus, with flexible hybrid working options to support a positive work-life balance. We would expect a minimum of 2 days a week in the office.
