We are expanding our team and seeking an experienced Workshop Controller to help drive workflow efficiency and maintain our reputation for excellence.
Job Summary
We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Workshop Controller to manage and coordinate all workshop activities. You will oversee job allocation, monitor productivity, communicate with technicians, and ensure repair quality and efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background within a bodyshop or accident repair environment and a proven ability to manage day‑to‑day workshop operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Allocate work to technicians based on skillset, workload, and job priority.
• Monitor repair progress and ensure all jobs are completed within required timescales.
• Liaise with estimators, front‑of‑house staff, and management to ensure seamless workflow.
• Carry out quality checks to maintain the highest repair standards.
• Maintain workshop organisation, safety, and cleanliness.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians when required.
• Update job status on bodyshop management systems (e.g., Autoflow).
• Ensure compliance with BSI, insurer standards, and internal processes.
Essential Skills & Experience
• Previous experience as a Workshop Controller within a bodyshop/accident repair centre.
• Strong understanding of bodyshop workflow and repair processes.
• Ability to manage multiple jobs and prioritise effectively.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
• High attention to detail and a proactive working approach.
• Knowledge of bodyshop management systems such as Autoflow (desirable).
