Summary

Safeguarding Lead
• Carlisle, Newcastle or Workington
• 36.25 hours per week
• £37,281 (FTE based on 36.25 hours per week) + benefits package

We are seeking a dedicated Safeguarding Lead to join our Lettings & Neighbourhoods Team. This pivotal role will oversee safeguarding cases from start to finish, ensuring best practice is embedded across the organisation and that our residents receive the highest level of support and protection.

An exciting new role at Castles & Coasts Housing Association (CCHA) within the Letting and Neighbourhoods Team, the Safeguarding Lead will provide services across CCHA, managing safeguarding cases from start to finish. You will work alongside the Lettings and Neighbourhoods team in order to protect and support our residents, providing advice and guidance around safeguarding matters.

You will be point of contact for complex safeguarding matters, ensuring that safeguarding practises are embedded into day-to-day service delivery. You will also have the opportunity to undertake project work when required.
This role will hold responsibility for fostering a close working partnership with CCHA’s Safeguarding, Compliance, Maintenance, Housing and Income Teams as well as engaging with external community partners and resources to build key partnerships which will enable the delivery of consistent but tailored supports to residents with multiple and complex needs, ultimately empowering residents to manage and sustain their tenancy as well as ensuring CCHA consistently meets all legislative and regulatory compliance requirements. You will represent the service at relevant external meetings, boards and groups, and you will provide operational support to front line CCHA teams.
