About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and experienced Retail Manager to lead the daily operations of our retail store in Maltby, Rotherham. The successful candidate will oversee staff, ensure excellent customer service, maintain store standards, and drive sales performance.
The role requires strong leadership, organisational skills, and the ability to manage a busy retail environment while ensuring smooth and efficient store operations.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the retail store.
• Lead, train, and motivate store staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to achieve store targets.
• Manage stock control, ordering, and inventory levels.
• Ensure the store is presented to high merchandising and cleanliness standards.
• Handle customer queries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Manage staff schedules, recruitment, and performance reviews.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain accurate records, sales reports, and financial documentation.
• Ensure security of stock and minimise losses.

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in retail management or supervisory roles.
• Experience managing retail teams and supervising staff.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and improving store performance.
• Experience in stock management and inventory control.
• Experience in handling customer service issues and complaints.
Qualifications
• Level 3 qualification or equivalent in Retail Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• GCSEs or equivalent qualifications in English and Mathematics.
• Additional retail or management training is advantageous.
