Summary
The work of the Data Team, Education Improvement & Standards, is focused on making a strong and effective use of data to contribute towards the improvement of Coventry’s schools. We provide quality management information to enable senior management and leaders within the Council and partner organisations to make effective decisions towards raising standards of educational achievement and improving life chances for children attending our schools.
This includes:
- Providing schools, senior managers and leaders across the council and partner organisations with quality, accurate and timely management information
- Offering guidance and advice on all aspects of data to support decision-making and improvement
- Challenging and supporting schools and colleagues across a range of services to help children make good progress and achieve their maximum potential.

This post will involve maintaining data on the local authority central pupil database, liaising with schools, family hubs and early years providers.
This is an ideal opportunity for anyone seeking to further develop their skills in improving data quality and reporting.
As part of the recruitment process, there will be a task around data quality. The data sets will be provided on the day of the interview.
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK. We are currently not offering sponsorship for this role.
Who are we looking for?We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic person to maintain the quality of data captured in central pupil database. Accurate and quality data will help to inform performance intelligence to our customers in schools, external organisations and across the Council.
