We are seeking an experienced Asset Data Manager to ensure the organisation’s asset information is accurate, consistent, and effectively structured across asset registers and CAFM systems.

This role is central to verifying the reliability of survey data, maintaining high-quality asset information, and supporting compliant, effective facilities and asset management.

Job Description

We are looking for someone who can take the lead on asset-data governance, quality assurance, and structured data standards.

The postholder will play a key role in ensuring asset information supports strategic decision-making, regulatory compliance, lifecycle planning, and optimised asset-performance outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

Lead the setup and maintenance of asset data models, structures, and governance processes.

Maintain accurate, complete, and standards-aligned asset records, including importing, updating, and validating data.

Conduct regular data-quality checks and implement corrective actions to ensure consistency and reliability.

Review survey data, provide feedback, and ensure outputs meet required standards, naming conventions, and classification rules.

Oversee and quality-check survey work including condition, lifecycle, and compliance surveys, validating all details before system upload.

Ensure the accurate application of Uniclass classifications and lead COBie data checking and assurance.

Provide oversight and governance of CAFM and asset-management systems, ensuring accurate lifecycle, maintenance, and compliance information.

Work collaboratively with operational, technical, and survey teams, providing training, guidance, and reporting on asset-data quality and survey performance.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

Experience managing asset registers and asset data.

Experience using CAFM systems such as IBM TRIRIGA, MRI Maximo, Concept, Planon, or Archibus.

Experience undertaking or reviewing asset or condition surveys.

Strong data-analysis and validation skills, including advanced Excel or data-management capability.

Strong knowledge of asset-management principles (e.g., ISO 55000).

Experience working in facilities-management or estates environments.

Knowledge of Uniclass and COBie structured-data standards.

Experience using reporting tools such as Power BI.

Experience managing statutory-compliance data and maintenance frameworks such as SFG20.
