Summary

Housing Management Coordinator



Pay £13.21 per hour (£25,838 per annum) and great benefits including Health Cash Plan



Permanent, full time (37.5 hpw), Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm



Middlesbrough - working across 3 locations in Middlesbrough as part of our Middlesbrough Young Persons services

This is a great opportunity to join our team. As our Housing and Property Lead, you’ll focus on tenancy support for our customers, ensuring their homes are safe and well maintained. Providing a housing management service, you’ll support them to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to a secure, long-term accommodation!

What you’ll do



  • Making sure that our customers properties are homes they can be proud of, you’ll support your customers by engaging and involving them in their tenancies.


  • Help our customers with housing benefit claims, making sure that these are received on their rent account.


  • Where there is a need, you’ll also issue and sign warning letters and notices which may lead to attending court.


  • Getting rooms ready for the next customers who needs our help and for maximum occupancy, you’ll turn around vacant or void rooms / bed spaces / properties within set timescales.


  • Ensuring we are health and safety compliant and that maintenance standards are met.

You have



  • Experience in managing a housing caseload and handle landlord and housing management duties


  • Know-how of re-letting of rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.


  • Able to take on a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues


  • The ability to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from all different backgrounds.


  • A “can do” positive attitude, you’re proactive and well organised, and able to work on your initiative.

The practical bits



  • You will work Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm with Bank Holidays off,


  • Based at our service in Middlesbrough, you’ll spend your time working in 3 of our Middlesbrough young people’s service, Elstone Road, Single Key (Gribdale road) and Erdely Villa (Marton road)


  • Able to use technology for creating and updating support plans, making benefit claims and doing tenancy signs ups,


  • To get from A to B, you’ll need a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!


  • You’ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
