Summary
Job Opportunity: Personal Assistant for 10-Year-Old Explorer!
Location: York (YO31)
Hours One night a week (after school) 15:00-19:00 and then roughly one full day per week in the holidays (maybe more).
Hourly Rate: £14.00 per hour
My name is Walter and I’m 9 years old.
I love being outside, running, playing Minecraft, I love building LEGO, I also like studying water (hydrology) and one day would like to design a hydrological car. I like taking things apart to see how they work (sometimes demolishing them too!). I'm super curious and really love it when people share their knowledge with me — especially if it’s about how things are made or how the world works.
You’ll find me so much fun to be around — I’m energetic, full of ideas, and always ready for an adventure. I do often need to follow my own direction and sometimes struggle with doing things other people’s way. So, I need someone who can go with the flow, be calm and understanding, and support me without trying to change who I am.
We’re looking for a kind, caring, and most importantly patient Personal Assistant (PA) to support me in doing what I love — exploring, learning, and having fun in safe and meaningful ways.
Could this be you?
You might enjoy:
Going on mini outdoor adventures
Talking about how things work
Building Minecraft creations
Helping me stay safe while giving me space to explore
Experience with neurodivergence is a bonus but being open-minded and gentle is even better.
This isn’t just a job — it’s a chance to make a real difference in a young person’s life by encouraging curiosity, fun, and independence.
If you think you’d be a great fit for me, we’d love to hear from you!
This vacancy will close as soon as a suitable candidate is appointed.
At the time of starting their employment, the successful candidate must have permission to work in the U.K.
