We are looking for a hands-on, experienced Site Manager to take the lead on a major 132kV grid connection project for a Solar PV site in Nottingham.This is your chance to make a direct impact on the UK's clean energy future, working on a flagship renewable infrastructure project from start to finish.
What You'll Do
-Lead the build: Manage all civil and electrical installation activities for the project.
-Run the site like a pro: Plan work schedules, track KPIs, manage rosters, and ensure zero-compromise on safety.
-Coordinate with contractors: Oversee third-party teams and ensure smooth collaboration.
-Control the budget: Work closely with the commercial team on reporting, costs, and forecasts.
-Champion safety & quality: Conduct inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
-Be the company's face on-site: Engage with landowners, stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors.
-Drive results: Ensure work is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
What We're Looking ForEssential
-Full & current UK driving licence
-SMSTS & First Aid at Work certifications
-CSCS Black Card
-Proven track record in site management for civil/electrical infrastructure
-Strong Health, Safety & Environmental awareness
-Ability to interpret electrical and construction drawings
-Experience with Electrical Isolation (LOTO) procedures (LV & HV)
Preferred
-Electrical qualifications & HV experience
-Civil/Construction qualifications
-Experience managing utility-scale renewable energy projects (solar or battery storage)
-Knowledge of commercial contracts & budget management
