Assistant Site Manager (New Build Housing)
Location: Thornaby
Contract: Full-Time hours, temporary, long term
Pay: £26.50 per hour CIS
The RoleAre you a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment? We are looking for a driven Assistant Site Manager to join our team on a high-volume new build development.
You won't just be "helping out"-you will be a key driver in ensuring our homes are built to the highest standards, on time, and ready for our customers. You will support the Site Manager in overseeing all on-site activities, managing sub-contractors, and maintaining a relentless focus on health, safety, and quality.
Key Responsibilities- Driving Production: Assist in the management of the construction process from groundworks through to completion.
- CML Management
- Quality Control: Conduct rigorous inspections and manage "snagging" lists to ensure a 5-star finish for every customer.
- Health & Safety: Ensure the site remains compliant with all HSE regulations and company safety policies.
- Sub-contractor Liaison: Coordinate daily trades, ensuring they have the materials and information needed to stay productive.
- Customer Care: Assist in conducting home demonstrations and ensuring a smooth handover process.
We need someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do. You should have:
- Experience: Previous experience as an ASM or Senior Tradesperson within the volume housebuilding sector.
- Standards: A deep understanding of NHBC/LABC standards and the CML process.
- Proactivity: The ability to look two weeks ahead on the program to spot and resolve potential bottlenecks before they happen.
- Qualifications: Valid CSCS (Management), SMSTS/SSSTS, and First Aid at Work certifications.
