Responsibilities
Lead the design and implementation of traffic engineering projects that enhance road safety and efficiency.
Conduct traffic studies and analyze vehicular and pedestrian patterns to inform engineering decisions.
Develop traffic simulation models to assess the impact of proposed infrastructure changes.
Collaborate with city planners, public agencies, and community stakeholders to gather input and feedback on transportation initiatives.
Review and approve design plans, traffic control devices, and signage to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and staff within the team.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in traffic engineering and transportation systems.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
Professional Engineer (PE) License is required; certification as a Traffic Engineer (ITE) is a plus.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in traffic engineering or a related field with a proven track record of successful project management.
Strong knowledge of traffic flow theory, transportation planning principles, and relevant regulatory standards.
Proficiency in traffic analysis software such as Synchro, VISSIM, and AutoCAD.
Excellent analytical skills with experience in statistical analysis and data interpretation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Hours Per Week: 35.00
