- Assist the lead BSL instructor in delivering engaging and impactful lessons
- Provide one-on-one support to students, ensuring they receive the individualised attention they need to thrive
- Facilitate interactive group activities and exercises that foster a deeper understanding of BSL
- Collaborate with the teaching team to develop and implement innovative learning strategies
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and attendance
- Contribute to the creation of a welcoming and inclusive learning environment
- Proficient in British Sign Language with a strong understanding of its grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and through sign language
- Experience in teaching or working with individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively within a team
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting the educational and personal growth of students
- Adaptability and a willingness to embrace new teaching methodologies
- Relevant qualifications in teaching, special education, or a related field would be an asset
