KPi Education is recruiting a BSL Teaching Assistant to join a specialist SEN school in Highgate. This is a full-time, long-term role supporting pupils with hearing impairments, Autism (ASC), speech and language needs, and complex SEND.

About the SEN School

A welcoming and inclusive specialist SEN school in Highgate is seeking a dedicated BSL Teaching Assistant to join their team.

The school supports pupils with a range of additional needs, including:

• Hearing impairments
• Autism (ASC)
• Speech, language and communication needs
• Complex and additional SEND

You will work as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary team alongside teachers, SENCOs, and therapists, all committed to delivering high-quality, inclusive education.

The Role

• Provide 1:1 and small group support using British Sign Language (BSL)
• Support pupils with hearing impairments across lessons
• Assist with communication, emotional regulation, and engagement
• Deliver EHCP-led support alongside teachers and SENCOs
• Help maintain a calm, inclusive learning environment

Requirements

Degree in Psychology, Special Education, or related field (essential)
BSL Level 2 minimum (Level 3 preferred)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Passion for supporting children with SEN
• Previous SEN experience desirable
