An understanding of positive behaviour support (PBS) and leading PBS in practice would be an advantage, although not essential because we can develop these skills and experience with the right person who has the attitude and aptitude to learn and deliver at this level.

About the Role​

You will work on-shift, leading your team in outstanding practice. You will lead the principles of “nothing about me without me”, ensuring the supported person’s voice (behaviours, expressions, actions, words) is heard, and they are leading their support planning, delivery, and review.

About SHES-RALJ

Overseeing two single person services who both receive 24 hours care and support including sleep ins. This role is for a female practise leader by choice of one of the individuals supported.



Going out in his mobility car and accessing the community is important to RALJ
Cornish pirates rugby and attending local rugby matches is a big part of RALJ life
Both individuals have strong family input who work well with us to help provide the best support possible
Supporting to access the community with support is important to both individuals
Both individuals have an acquired brain injury and epilepsy of differing levels and impacts on Life
​Both individuals require support and reassurance around emotional wellbeing.
Both individuals like to live life the way they want to and have differing routines, likes and dislikes
He needs you to be a driver with a clean licence because he will want and need you to drive his car.
About You:​

A patient, calm natured and strong personality
​Comfortable to sit and chat having repetitive conversations and be able tom understand different verbal communication techniques.
Passion to live-life and lead more than a safe existence.
Naturally curious about neurodiverse human behaviour
Non-judgemental and focuses more on why something happened opposed to what happened.
A confident leader from the front, back and centre of their team, depending on circumstances.
Able to investigate, hear all perspectives, analyse information, and develop and adapt ways of working.
Thrive on working closely with family, wider networks, and your colleagues, collaborating and coproducing with the expertise of others to enable a holistic, truly person-led service.
About the usual working pattern:​

To be discussed at interview. Shift patterns will include weekend working on a rotational basis. ​

Essential for the role:

Full UK driver’s license and have use of a car.​
