Veterinary Surgeon – Independent Small Animal Practice | Cornwall | Up to £65,000 DOE | 4-Day Week
A friendly, independent small animal veterinary practice in a picturesque town in Cornwall is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join its welcoming and supportive team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Small Animal Vet with at least 2 years’ experience who is looking to develop their career within a modern, well-equipped practice that genuinely values teamwork, clinical standards, and work-life balance.
The Practice
This well-established independent veterinary practice has been open for six years and has built a fantastic reputation within the local community. The clinic was originally founded as a mobile veterinary service in June 2020, operating from a converted NHS ambulance. Due to strong client demand and growing popularity, the team quickly expanded, first renting a small surgical unit for procedures and inpatients.
In September 2021, the opportunity arose to create a permanent veterinary clinic in the heart of the town. Two units were converted into a modern, fully equipped practice which continues to grow and thrive today.
The practice owner remains highly involved and present daily, creating a supportive environment where collaboration and patient care are always the priority.
The Team
The successful candidate will join a three-Vet team that includes certificate holders in:
• Surgery
• Cardiology
• Emergency and Critical Care (ECC)
The clinical team is supported by an experienced Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) team and dedicated reception staff, helping ensure a smooth workflow and excellent patient care.
