Summary

Wildanet is a fast‑growing internet provider delivering superfast, reliable connectivity to homes and businesses across the region.

Location: Onsite throughout Cornwall, with occasional attendance at Liskeard Head Office.

Role Purpose:

The Build Coordinator oversees onsite delivery of Wildanet’s full fibre network, ensuring engineering teams and build partners work to best practice, meet quality expectations, and follow all safety standards. The role provides onsite supervision across civils and fibre construction, acts as an escalation point, resolves issues in real time, and assesses the viability of project delivery plans to ensure builds are completed to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

Main Responsibilities:

- Safety - Take ownership of personal, team and public safety, complying with all Wildanet procedures. Conduct site audits to ensure partners have correct RAMS, qualifications and PPE. Work with SHEQ and Compliance teams to maintain network safety and quality. Challenge and remediate unsafe working practices, promoting a zero‑accident culture.

- Quality & Cost - Ensure all onsite work meets required standards. Capture accurate data to support installation teams in achieving first‑time installs.

- Governance & Fluidity - Oversee effective site operations and coordinate with Local Authorities, Streetworks, Traffic Management and Build Partner agencies. Check and maintain documentation, support milestone reporting, and highlight risks.
Ensure build governance is up to date, including in‑life changes, SNN validation and Wayleaves.

- Stakeholder Engagement - Liaise with the public and resolve issues arising from build activities. Coach build partners to remove blockers and escalate concerns as needed. Act as a knowledgeable contact for internal teams, partners and Local Authorities. Represent Wildanet professionally at site meetings.

- Support - Coach and support internal teams with high‑level escalations and changing priorities. Lead or assist on projects and fault resolution where skilled. Occasionally support soft digs, civils avoidance, cabling, splicing, testing, or safety-related activities (e.g., confined spaces, MEWPs).

Key Activities

- Deliver project scope in line with milestone timelines.
- Conduct daily site visits to assure quality.

- Maintain build documentation and update internal teams.
- Contribute to budget objectives using innovative engineering approaches.
- Manage build partner performance to keep delivery on track.
- Use CEMAR to report defects and issues.
