Summary
Hays are working with a well‑established organisation in Dewsbury who require an Interim Assistant Finance Manager to support the team during a period of transition. This is a great opportunity to step into a hands‑on role and add value quickly.
Your New Role
As Interim Assistant Finance Manager, you will support the Finance Manager and wider team with day‑to‑day financial operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Supporting month‑end and year‑end processes
- Preparing management accounts and financial reports
- Assisting with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Overseeing transactional finance activities
- Supporting audit preparation and compliance requirements
- Providing guidance to junior finance staff
- Contributing to process improvements and strengthening financial controls
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Part‑qualified or fully qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA) or QBE with strong experience
- Solid background in management accounts and month‑end duties
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and integrate quickly into a busy finance environment
- Confident communicator with a proactive approach
