This is an exciting opportunity for a Classroom Support Assistant to join a vibrant primary school in Lewisham. You will be working on a long-term contract, providing essential support to pupils within a classroom setting to help them reach their full potential. This role is ideal for someone looking for a consistent, rewarding position within a supportive educational environment.
- Supporting the class teacher in the delivery of the daily curriculum.
- Working with small groups of pupils to improve literacy and numeracy skills.
- Assisting with the management of classroom behaviour and creating a positive learning environment.
- Providing 1:1 support for students with additional learning needs where required.
- Helping to prepare classroom resources and activities.
- Previous experience working as a Classroom Support Assistant or in a similar role within a school.
- A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting children's learning.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A commitment to supporting the educational and social development of all pupils.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
