Summary

A well-established and growing construction business based in Crawley is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially astute professional to play a key role in delivering high-quality projects across a diverse portfolio.

The Role

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the commercial and contractual elements of construction projects from inception through to completion. You will work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and clients to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Preparing cost estimates, budgets, and tender documents

  • Managing subcontractor procurement, valuations, and payments

  • Monitoring project costs and identifying value engineering opportunities

  • Conducting risk and value management assessments

  • Preparing interim valuations and final accounts

  • Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal requirements

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry

  • Strong knowledge of commercial management and contract administration

  • Experience working on a range of construction projects (residential, commercial, or mixed-use preferred)

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Relevant degree or professional qualification (e.g., Quantity Surveying or Commercial Management)
