Summary

Transport Administrator
Location: Grangemouth
Pay Rate: £13.80 per hour

Monday to Friday - 11:30-17:30 (30 hours per week)


Manpower Scotland is currently recruiting for a temporary Transport Administrator on behalf of one of our valued clients based in Grangemouth. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive individual to support a busy transport operation.


The Role:


As a Transport Administrator, you will assist the Operations Transport Manager with a range of administrative tasks to help ensure the efficient running of the business.


Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting drivers with the HR and Payroll system, including submitting timesheets and expenses
  • Checking and authorising driver timesheets
  • Assisting with pay-related queries and escalating to the payroll team where required
  • Managing stock control and ordering, including Personal Protective Equipment
  • Administering tachograph data, including driver hours and activities
  • Supporting Health, Environment and Quality administration, including booking drug and alcohol testing
  • Carrying out general administrative duties such as minute taking, updating notice boards, filing and responding to internal queries


What We're Looking For

  • Previous administrative experience is essential
  • Previous experience within a transport environment is essential
  • Good knowledge of drivers' hours rules and tachograph regulations
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to build effective working relationships
  • Educated to Higher level (or equivalent), including Maths and English
