Summary
Kenect Recruitment is currently seeking a Waste & Recycling Operative to join our client's team in Macclesfield. This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a hands-on role within waste management and recycling, helping to support efficient and sustainable operations on a busy site.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive a 7.5-tonne vehicle to collect and transport waste containers across the site.
- Operate baling and sorting equipment to process recyclable materials.
- Assist with loading and unloading trailers for off-site waste removal.
- Use forklift trucks to move and organise waste materials.
- Respond to ad-hoc waste collection requests.
- Maintain clean, safe waste storage areas and follow site procedures.
- Complete basic paperwork and daily vehicle checks.
Requirements
Essential
- Full UK driving licence with 7.5-tonne (C1) entitlement.
- GCSEs or equivalent.
- Ability to work independently and follow procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Desirable
- Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
- Digital tachograph / CPC training.
- Knowledge of UK waste legislation.
