Summary
Connect Appointments is recruiting a Press Brake Operative to join an established Oldham-based manufacturer on a permanent basis.
Our client is an innovative manufacturing business producing specialist products across a range of sectors, including pharmaceutical, telecoms and food infrastructure.
What's on offer?
- A four-day working week, Monday to Thursday, 6am to 4:30pm
- £12.21 to £15.00 per hour, dependent on experience
- Full-time permanent position
As a Press Brake Operative, your duties will include:
- Setting and operating the press brake machine safely, efficiently and effectively
- Monitoring quality, accuracy, yield and waste at regular intervals to ensure optimum production
- Identifying sub-standard production, making necessary programming adjustments and reporting to your supervisor
- Working as part of a close-knit team on a varied range of manufacturing projects
- Using your own initiative to maintain quality and efficiency throughout the shift
The ideal Press Brake Operative will have:
- Previous experience operating a press brake machine
- A keen eye for detail and a quality-focused approach to production
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A positive, proactive attitude
