Job Introduction
This role involves working in partnership with a high-profile blue light service organisation to support the effective asset management and maintenance of their estate.

The Asset Manager is responsible for ensuring effective asset management and Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) management across the client estate, enabling the delivery of required maintenance services through the client’s supply chain.

We are seeking an Asset Manager (Maternity Cover) to join our team at one of our Public Sector sites, based in London or Swindon.

Job Purpose
The client has been operating an Integrator model since 2007 and Sodexo has been appointed as the Next Generation Property Integrator on a 7-year contract.

Key focus areas include:

  • Developing, deploying and maturing an asset management solution across the client and supply chain organisations
  • Ensuring standardisation of asset management processes across multiple supply chains
  • Creating valuable knowledge from multiple data sources, some of which may initially be incomplete
  • Monitoring acquisition, disposal, project and work order activity for potential asset change activity
  • Operating in a dynamic and evolving environment, including portfolio changes, supply chain changes and improvements such as asset tagging

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage, develop and provide training for PPM and Asset Coordinators
  • Ensure the effective operation of Asset Change and PPM Scheduling processes
  • Engage with new suppliers and supply chain partners
  • Develop, deploy, communicate and manage asset management processes and data across the Sodexo team, client organisation and supply chain
  • Understand asset management risks and ensure stakeholders have a balanced view of risk
  • Ensure the asset register is maintained, accurate and meets data standards
  • Ensure the PPM schedule is maintained and compliant with data standards
  • Ensure statutory compliance reporting, including:
  • Completion of statutory PPMs
  • Verification of certificates
  • Management of remedial works
  • Align work activity with the estates strategy and client business objectives
  • Collaborate with the client BIM team to ensure alignment with data standards
  • Ensure data management and change control protocols are in place and audited
  • Train, develop and upskill stakeholders involved in delivering the client’s asset management objectives
  • Assess and continually improve the asset management system
  • Ensure asset management and PPM processes meet client objectives and Sodexo contractual requirements
  • Ensure the Forward Works Plan is updated to account for the introduction of new assets
  • Support other members of the contract team to minimise impact on service levels and contractual obligations
  • Identify opportunities where the service can be enhanced for stakeholder engagement and account development planning
  • Participate in the community of practice, supporting service innovation and development of colleagues

Accountabilities

  • Ensure asset management datasets remain accurate, valid and up to date
  • Quality assure asset data to maintain data integrity
  • Maintain awareness of projects and programmes that may impact the asset register
  • Ensure PPM schedules remain accurate and up to date
  • Deliver accurate PPM and statutory compliance reporting
  • Provide operational input into the Forward Works Register
  • Work in a way that promotes the client values of professionalism, integrity, courage and compassion

What You Bring

Essential

  • Recognised qualification in Asset Management
  • Strong understanding of Facilities Management
  • Experience within a complex and mature asset management environment
  • Ability to manage business process change
  • Ability to work collaboratively with clients, suppliers and internal teams
  • Experience using CAFM / CMMS systems
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and quality-driven approach
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Strong communication skills
  • Eligibility to pass client security vetting

Desirable

  • Membership of the Institute of Asset Management (IAM)
  • Experience of programme planning within high-volume, fast-moving programmes
