Summary
Employing trusts will be required to guarantee the availability of two dedicated Endoscopy training lists per week. Five sessions per week will be allocated to speciality training. The mix of clinic, ward and GIM on call time will be allocated by the employing trust. These five sessions will be in effect backfill sessions freeing up one of the local SpRs and enabling them to attend endoscopy for additional training and/or deliver service lists. One session will be allocated to education/research/admin Further opportunities will be available to Academy fellows dependent on sub-speciality interests, including: Supporting simulation and Endoscopy human factors courses Endoscopy training research Sub-speciality clinical work - dependent on host trust
