Summary

We are delighted to be recruiting for a new Project Worker in Gloucestershire; this is an exciting opportunity to join Barnardo's and become part of a passionate and experienced team.

Our Barnardo's project worker will be working as a CHISVA – Children's Independent Sexual Violence Advisor within the Gloucestershire ISVA service.

They will be provided with fully funded, on the job CHISVA training delivered by Lime Culture alongside a comprehensive induction, line and case management and clinical supervision.

We are looking for someone who is:

Able to listen to and communicate effectively with children and young people.
Passionate about working with and offering trauma informed support to children, young people, and their families.
Motivated to amplify service user's voices and create opportunities for children and young people to fulfil their potential.
Able to work independently whilst also working collaboratively within a supportive team.
Committed to keeping children and young people safe, taking safeguarding action when required whilst maintaining empathy, compassion, and respect for those you support.
Passionate about building positive relationships whilst empowering other professionals to work confidently and safely with children and young people.
Barnardo's deliver the Gloucestershire Independent Sexual Violence Advisor (ISVA) Service in partnership with First Light. Together, we provide specialist support for anyone living in the county who has been impacted by sexual abuse, or sexual violence. Our Barnardo's CHISVAs provide trauma-informed emotional and practical support to children and young people and their families.
