Overview
We are recruiting for an experienced Finance Manager to join a growing business based in Bromsgrove on a temp-to-perm basis. Following a successful 12-week temporary period, there is a strong opportunity for the role to become permanent.
This is a hands-on and commercially focused position, working closely with the Managing Director to support operational and strategic decision-making across the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee the day-to-day finance function, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all processes
• Produce monthly management accounts with clear commentary and analysis
• Manage cash flow, forecasting, and budgeting activities
• Support the Managing Director with financial insights to drive business performance
• Oversee purchase and sales ledger, ensuring timely processing and payments
• Manage bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Monitor financial controls and identify areas for process improvement
• Liaise with external accountants and auditors where required
• Support operational teams with financial reporting and cost analysis
Key Requirements
• Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar senior finance role
• Strong working knowledge of Xero (essential)
• Ability to work both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to partner with non-finance stakeholders
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Experience working closely with senior leadership, ideally Managing Director level
