Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Enhanced Provision Teaching Assistant to join a supportive primary school in Birmingham. This role is ideal for someone with a background in EYFS and SEND, who can provide targeted support to pupils with additional needs and help them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 or small group support for pupils with SEND, including those in EYFS
Support the planning and delivery of differentiated learning activities
Implement strategies to aid social, emotional, and academic development
Assist with assessment, observation, and recording of pupil progress
Promote independence and engagement within the classroom environment
Work closely with teachers, specialists, and parents to support pupils’ needs
Support behaviour management in line with school policies
Person Specification / Requirements:
Proven experience working with EYFS and SEND pupils
Strong understanding of inclusive teaching practices and differentiation
Experience with individual or small-group interventions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach to supporting pupils
Relevant qualifications in education, SEND, or Early Years (preferred)
Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
