Summary
SEND Learning Support Assistant | KS3/4 – Milnthorpe
Humly is recruiting a SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school on a ongoing basis.
This is a full-time role starting 13/04/2026 and continuing on a permanent basis. This role would suit a compassionate and proactive individual with experience supporting pupils with additional needs, who is confident working both in the classroom and in small group settings.
What You’ll Be Doing
Supporting pupils with SEND to access learning across KS3 and KS4
Assisting the class teacher with adapting resources and lesson activities
Delivering targeted interventions and small group support
Encouraging positive behaviour and promoting pupil engagement
Building strong relationships to support pupils’ confidence and independence
Working closely with the SENCO and teaching staff to monitor progress
What You’ll Bring
Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
A patient, nurturing, and adaptable approach to learning support
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Confidence managing behaviour and supporting emotional needs
A commitment to inclusive education and pupil wellbeing
Relevant qualifications or training in SEND (desirable but not essential)
Pay
£24,796 to £25,185 per annum (full time equivalent)
