We are seeking a dedicated Residential Support Worker to join a leading specialist provider at their brand-new Emotional Wellbeing Assessment Home in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent role offers a rewarding opportunity to support children and young people aged 8-18, helping them develop resilience, confidence, and independence in a nurturing environment.
As a Residential Support Worker in Hinckley, you will be an integral part of a small, supportive team committed to providing short-term placements that focus on understanding and meeting the needs of young people. Your role will involve building trusting relationships, working collaboratively with families and professionals, and creating a safe, welcoming space for those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop nurturing relationships with young people, focusing on their well-being and strengths
Work closely with families and other professionals to provide holistic support
Contribute to the daily running of the home, including cooking and cleaning, to ensure a safe environment
Maintain accurate records and follow safeguarding policies
Promote a positive, secure, and supportive atmosphere at all times
Requirements:
The Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or a commitment to achieving it within a set timeframe
Strong motivation to positively impact young people's lives and build their resilience
Good understanding of safeguarding procedures for vulnerable children and young people
Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins
Relevant experience is desirable but not essential; attitude and willingness to learn are valued most
