Summary
About the Role
Body of Christ Evangelical Church is seeking a dedicated and spiritually mature Pastor (Minister of Religion) to provide pastoral leadership and spiritual guidance to the congregation. The successful candidate will lead worship services, teach biblical doctrine, and support the spiritual development of church members.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and deliver sermons during regular worship services
* Lead prayer meetings, Bible studies, and discipleship programs
* Provide pastoral care, counselling, and spiritual support to members of the congregation
* Conduct religious ceremonies including baptisms, weddings, and funerals
* Visit and pray with members of the church community including the sick and elderly
* Support evangelism and outreach activities within the local community
* Work with church leadership to support the growth and development of ministry programs
Requirements
* Strong Christian faith and commitment to pastoral ministry
* Ordination or recognised ministerial training in Christian theology or ministry
* Experience in preaching, teaching scripture, and providing pastoral care
* Ability to lead worship services and provide spiritual guidance to a diverse congregation
* Good communication and leadership skills
