Are you an experienced HR professional looking for a role where you can genuinely influence, support and shape people outcomes? This HR Advisor position offers breadth, autonomy and the chance to partner closely with managers across a busy and fast‑paced organisation.
You'll join a supportive HR team, reporting to an HR Manager and working across a wide range of ER and people activity. This role sits within the HR RUI function and plays a central part in driving fair, inclusive and effective people practices.
What you'll be doing
You'll be the first point of contact for managers, providing clear, practical and confident HR advice across the full employee lifecycle, including:
Advising managers on a range of employee relations and management issues
Managing disciplinary, grievance and complex ER cases
Leading annual and in‑cycle HR processes (inclusive recruitment, talent reviews, succession planning, compensation planning, IPF calibration, etc.)
Coordinating organisational change activity - restructures, relocations, outsourcing and M&A support
Coaching and upskilling managers to confidently manage performance, ER processes and people matters
Supporting workforce planning, forecasting and the use of people metrics
Monitoring absence trends and managing long‑term sickness cases
What you'll bring
Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practice
Experience advising managers on ER and people management issues
Solid understanding of HR policies, processes and systems
Hands‑on experience leading core HR cycles (recruitment, performance, compensation, promotions)
Confident communicator with the ability to build trust and influence at all levels
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Proven experience delivering organisational change
Proficiency with HR systems and MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
CIPD qualification or HR-related degree (desirable)
A genuine commitment to role modelling inclusive behaviours and values
