Weldit LLP is looking for reliable and hands-on Factory Assistants to join our team in Luton.
This is a practical role in a busy sheet metal fabrication environment where you’ll support the production team with packing
finished products, operating machinery, and helping keep the factory running smoothly. If you enjoy physical work, being part of a
team, and seeing the results of your work every day, this could be a great opportunity.
The Role
As a Factory Assistant you’ll play an important part in supporting the day-to-day operation of the factory. Your responsibilities
will include:
* Packing finished products ready for dispatch
* Operating light sheet metal machinery and a guillotine machine safely and efficiently
* Keeping the factory floor clean, organised, and safe
* Supporting the wider production team with general factory duties
Full training will be provided, and you’ll be supported by an experienced team in a well-established local manufacturing
business.
Shifts Available
We are currently recruiting for two shift patterns:
* Afternoon Shift: 2:00pm – 10:00pm
* Night Shift: 10:00pm – 6:30am (higher salary rate applies)
About You
We’re looking for someone who is dependable, practical, and ready to get stuck in. You’ll be:
* A team player with good attention to detail
* Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
* Physically fit and able to lift heavy materials safely
* Eager to learn and develop new skills
Previous factory or machinery experience is helpful but not essential, as full training will be provided.
