Summary
This post is an appointment via the Medical Education Department at Southend University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and is primarily to support the postgraduate Foundation Teaching Programme. The postholder will be a member of the wider Clinical Teaching Fellows cohort. The role will be 100% Medical Education for a 12 month period.
This prestigious role may mean you are eligible for entry to the part-time taught PG Certificate in Medical Education and you will work closely with the Foundation TPD, Associate DME, CTF Site Lead, Medical Education Manager, Simulation Team and Foundation Administrators.
Your role will be due to start on 5th August 2026 and, as per the funding, will be a fixed term contract until 3rd August 2027.

Interviews for this post will take place mid to late March 2026.
The post holder will work closely alongside a team of Clinical Teaching Fellows, the Associate Undergraduate Dean, Clinical Teaching Fellow Lead, Foundation Training Programme Director, Medical Education Manager and Foundation Programme Administrators.
· You will identify and manage any teaching skills gaps and work to address these through a structured provision as well as helping identify postgraduate doctors with particular needs.
· Attendance at the monthly undergraduate operational meetings as well as quarterly faculty meetings, meetings at the medical schools as required and the monthly Medical Education Board.
• Your placement will be 12 months in Medical Educationtherefore, patient interaction will be incidental.
