Summary
School Cleaner - Level 1An opportunity has arisen at Whitehall Primary School for a School Cleaner to join our team, taking pride in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our learners by keeping cleanliness to a high standard, As part of our wider school team, you will have responsibility for the overall cleanliness and security of the school classrooms and site, having awareness of security policies, maintaining supplies of cleaning materials, and working with other members of the site team to keep the site to a standard expected by leadership and management.Actual Salary based on Pt 2 currently (due to move to Pt 3, awaiting new pay structure)Under 5 years service with Leicester City Council - £8979.66Over 5 years service with Leicester City Council - £9182.8741 Working weeks - term time plus 3 weeks - you must be able to commit to the following and holiday must be taken around these times 38 Weeks Term time 2.45 - 5.45 pm - 3 hour daily 10 days of 6 hours for the first 2 weeks of the summer holiday for a deep clean - (30 hours) 4 days the first week of the Easter break (12 hours) 1 teacher day, usually the 2nd one in August (3 hours)Interview to be held in the morning of Thursday 16th April 2026.Relevant experience is desirable as are the below traits - Experienced of undertaking general cleaning duties and whilst experience of working in a school environment is preferable it is not essential..You must be able to work on your own ability, use your initiative and manage time effectively, so you can carry out day-to-day operations and assist with the smooth running of the school.Awareness of the relevant legislation and guidance in relation to working around children and young people is desirable.
