We're looking for a Technical Business Analyst who excels at bridging business needs and technical delivery within our Data & Integration Squad. In this role, you'll partner closely with engineers, architects, product teams, and business stakeholders to understand how our systems operate today and to help shape a secure, scalable future for Nuffield Health.
You'll translate complex technical environments into clear, structured insights that support decision‑making, integration planning, and data migration work. A strong communicator, you'll be equally comfortable discussing requirements with non‑technical colleagues as you are interrogating data flows with technical SMEs.
As a Technical Business Analyst, you will:
-
Work collaboratively with business and technical teams to understand current systems, data flows, and integration needs.
-
Analyse and document existing technical environments, simplifying complexity for diverse audiences.
-
Support data migration and replatforming by mapping data, extracting insights using SQL, and articulating transformation logic.
-
Translate legacy system behaviour into clear, reusable documentation for future development.
-
Partner with engineers to validate APIs, data structures, and integration points, using tools like Postman and SQL-based analysis.
-
Communicate risks, dependencies, and design impacts in a concise, structured way.
To succeed as a Technical Business Analyst, you'll bring:
-
3+ years' experience in a Technical BA or similar role within integration, data, or transformation programmes.
-
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to break down complex systems and explain them clearly.
-
Confident stakeholder manager able to bridge technical and non‑technical groups and build strong working relationships.
-
Skilled in data analysis and documentation, with hands-on SQL experience and familiarity with tools like Snowflake, Talend, SQL Server, and Postman.
-
Solid understanding of APIs, REST principles, and integration patterns.
-
Adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast‑moving, hybrid environment.
-
Healthcare experience is helpful but not required.
