Nuffield Health is looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to help drive a data led culture by turning complex datasets into clear, actionable insight. Working within an agile BI team, you'll deliver high quality reporting, dashboards and analytics that support operational, clinical and commercial decision making across the charity.

You'll be an analytical, curious and detail-oriented individual with a passion for enabling better decision making across a mission driven organisation. You are comfortable working with large datasets, translating business questions into measurable outcomes, and designing insight tools that are both accurate and easy to use.

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you will:

  • Write complex SQL queries, join multiple data sources, validate data quality and troubleshoot issues across SQL Server, Snowflake or similar cloud platforms.

  • Build dashboards and user-friendly visualisations, manage Tableau data sources, and publish securely through the Tableau development lifecycle.

  • Understand database schemas and data relationships, shaping raw data into clean, analysis ready structures.

  • Interpret complex datasets, identify trends and transform insight into actionable recommendations.

  • Work confidently with cross functional teams, gather requirements and communicate clearly with non-technical colleagues.

  • Work within agile sprints, managing user stories, participating in stand ups and adapting to changing priorities.

  • Apply a methodical approach to testing, validation and documentation to ensure outputs are accurate, reliable and trusted.

  • Use AI copilots and automated analytical tools to enhance productivity, accelerate data exploration and support decision making.

To succeed as a Business Intelligence Analyst, you'll bring:

  • Degree level education in a relevant discipline

  • Solid, hands-on SQL experience across both traditional and cloud environments

  • Strong understanding of Tableau (or comparable BI tools) with the ability to build intuitive dashboards

  • A good grasp of how data flows through the BI stack from source systems to reporting layers

  • Experience working in a fast-paced BI/MI or analytics team

  • Excellent Excel skills for rapid data exploration and ad hoc analysis

  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills and the ability to build positive working relationships

  • A proactive approach, with confidence to take ownership of analysis, user stories and deliverables
