More detail about the role This is an exciting career development opportunity for a committed Physiotherapist to join the Royal Devon University Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust as part of our outpatient Physiotherapy service working on the Royal Devon & Exeter, Wonford and Heavitree sites. Based within the heart of beautiful Devon and just off the M5, Exeter has a lot to offer, with a stunning coastline and picturesque moors within throwing distance of the city. This rotation scheme offers rotations across musculoskeletal outpatients, hand therapy and orthopaedic aftercare / fracture clinic. The postholder will be responsible for providing specialised assessment and treatment to patients referred by Consultants, Nursing teams, the Emergency Department, GPs and other therapists. Caseloads will be variable and will include adult and paediatric patients referred from a variety of clinical specialities within the Trust. The nature of the workload will require the post-holder to be flexible regarding working across these specialist areas. The postholder must keep updated to ensure the service provided has a strong evidence base and is delivered in line with national guidance. Rotations will be for 12 months. Caseloads will be flexible and at times will involve the provision of service to other areas of the Trust. The position carries an expectation to work weekends on the trauma and orthopaedic inpatient rota (approximate frequency is one weekend day per month). Pay: The salary advertised for this position reflects the Agenda for Change 2026-7 rates, inclusive of a 3.3% pay award implemented from April 2026.
