About the Company
As a Founding Business Development Executive you would focus on generating new business opportunities and nurturing leads through the sales process, acting as a key driver for our client's sales growth
About the Employer: The employer is an IT Services organisation with large growth ambitions, and looking to double in size within the next 3 years. Annual turnover as of FY2025 is 15m, looking at growing to 30m by FY2028.
About the Role
This involves prospecting for potential clients, engaging with them, qualifying leads, and ultimately passing qualified leads to the sales team for follow-up. The employer is also looking to promote this individual to a more senior BDM role within 18 months to 2 years as well.
Responsibilities
- Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identifying potential customers and generating leads through various channels like cold calling, email outreach, and social media.
- Lead Qualification: Assessing the potential of leads, understanding their needs, and determining if they are a good fit for our clients' solutions.
- Building Relationships: Establishing connections with prospects, nurturing relationships, and gaining their trust.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Tracking leads, managing the sales funnel, and ensuring a consistent flow of qualified opportunities to the sales team.
- Communication and Persuasion: Effectively communicating the value of our clients solutions and persuading prospects to engage further.
- Collaboration with Sales: Working closely with the sales team to understand their needs, share insights, and ensure a smooth handover of qualified leads.
- CRM Management: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of lead interactions and sales activities in the CRM system.
- Tools Utilization: Leveraging various tools for lead generation, email outreach, and sales engagement to maximize efficiency.
- Independent Work: Proactively seeking out new opportunities, applying innovative techniques for success, and working independently to achieve goals.
Qualifications
- Experience Level: Some expertise in working within the IT Sector is preferred, 2-3 years of experience in total would be ideal.
- Location: Monday, Tuesday in Oxfordshire office, 1 day in Southampton office every Wednesday, and then in the longer term - Thursday and Friday at home.
Skills
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication, including the ability to persuade and influence.
- Sales Acumen: Understanding of the sales process, lead generation techniques, and customer relationship management.
- CRM Experience: Proficiency with CRM software and related tools.
- Self-Motivation and Drive: The ability to work independently, set goals, and achieve targets.
- Resilience: Ability to handle rejection and stay motivated in the face of challenges.
- Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with various technology tools and platforms.
Pay range and compensation package
Base salary: 40k base with 20k comms package - 60k OTE. Target: 10 qualified leads per month / 3 months ramp up will be provided.
